Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technician (MTRA) to join our medical imaging team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment, ensuring the accurate capture of images for diagnosis. The ideal candidate will have a degree or vocational training in Radiologic Technology, certification, and a license to operate imaging equipment, along with proficiency in the German language (B2 level). Familiarity with radiology software and patient care protocols is essential to providing high-quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other radiological tests, as directed by physicians.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients and imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images while minimizing discomfort.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring that it is functioning properly and conducting regular quality checks.
- Follow patient care protocols, ensuring that patients are properly prepared for imaging procedures and providing guidance and support during the process.
- Ensure that all images are of the highest quality and meet the standards required for accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect patient data in compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Document and record imaging results accurately in the patient’s medical records and radiology information systems (RIS).
- Provide initial patient assessments and assist in determining appropriate imaging techniques based on the physician’s orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss and interpret imaging results.
- Assist in preparing radiology reports and communicate critical findings to relevant medical staff.
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the radiology department, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring proper storage of materials.
Qualifications:
- Degree or vocational training in Radiologic Technology (MTRA).
- Certification and license to operate radiological equipment.
- German language proficiency (B2 level) is required for effective communication with patients, medical staff, and team members.
- Familiarity with radiology software, including Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Knowledge of patient care protocols, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout the imaging process.
- Strong attention to detail to capture high-quality diagnostic images and accurately record results.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Good communication skills to explain procedures to patients and collaborate with the medical team.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with advanced imaging techniques, such as MRI or CT scans.
- Additional certifications in specialized imaging modalities (e.g., mammography, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology).
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and imaging documentation systems.
- Experience with pediatric or geriatric imaging techniques.
